Department of Emergency Medicine

The Department of Emergency Medicine, which offers a 3 year Residency Program through the UNM School of Medicine, is responsible for the medical direction of the UNM Hospitals Emergency Center, Emergency Medical Services Academy, New Mexico Poison Control Center, Albuquerque Job Corps, Lifeguard Air Emergency Services, the Center for Injury Prevention Research and Education, Center for Disaster Medicine, and city and county rescue unit.
